Tonight it was... CrockPot Central. Good homestyle food, and so dang easy!
Easy Cheesy BBQ Chicken & Cheese Broccoli
(holy cheese..)
Ingredients
Chicken Breasts (up to 5)
2 Bottles of any barbecue sauce
Bacon (about 8 strips)
3-5 Slices of Swiss Cheese
2 lb. Fresh Broccoli
1 bag Velveeta Cheese Shreds
3 tablespoon butter
1 clove Fresh Garlic (chopped)
1 1/2 tablespoon Olive Oil
Too easy to be true! NOT! Torey also helped cook the bacon ;)!
Drop the breasts into the CrockPot. Then empty 1 to 1 1/2 bottles of barbecue sauce (depending on the
number of breasts you're using) on the chicken breasts.
Cover 'em up real nice, if you want to dump the rest of the barbecue sauce into the pot, you're more than welcome ;).
Let it cook on LOW for 5-6 hours until done!
Meanwhile, about 20 minutes before the chicken is done, you'll want to start the rest!
Cut broccoli into chunky pieces. Put Olive Oil into deep pan. Toss broccoli, butter, garlic, and 1/4 cup water in pan as well. Cover, cook on medium until done, stirring occasionally.
Cover broccoli with Velveeta cheese, cover until melted. Mix Together, Serve!
You'll also want to cook bacon to your preferred liking. (in our case... "limp" lol).
Take the chicken out of the CrockPot, place bacon slices on top, and cover with Swiss! I also put the oven on BROIL for almost a minute and melted the cheese on there a little.
Now eat it while it's hot!
Bare with me while I get this whole blogging thing down. It's totally awkward :).
In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on.
